Tulum is a town on the Caribbean coastline of Mexico’s Yucatán. It’s about 90 minutes’ drive from Cancun.
I absolutely fell in love with Tulum and its bohemian style. We decided on Tulum for 2 nights to celebrate a friends 50th birthday! We wanted a bit of relaxation and a bit of partying! Though we didn’t get to go to the beautiful sinkholes or the ancient Mayan Ruins thats a must if you have the time.

This is a great place to come just to chill and enjoy the gorgeous blue and green ocean vibes! Best Beach Day Club with live Djing mixing After 1 pm – Boa Beach Club
When planning where to stay we didn’t bring the kids so the adults only Mi Amor was a perfect choice.

We didn’t get a chance to bike ride but every hotel offer free bikes to ride through the Tulum area. Taxis are super cheap around $10 US per ride. Have exact change in pesos or dollars.

For dinner we really wanted to hit Gitano. I had heard and read so much about it. It was a pre-fix menu about $85 pp but worth it! The avocado appetiser was to die for and the scene was happening.

With such chill and calming vibes I decided to wake up early and check out a place to do early morning yoga. I took a taxi from our hotel which took 15 minutes. And ended up at Sanara Tulum. It cost $20 for 1 hour. I entered their yoga studio and reconnected with my body.

We didn’t get the chance to visit the infamous Cennotes, sink holes or the Mayan ruins but if you can definitely go! We decided to see the Tulum’s villa Escobar. That is Pablo Escobar’s reputed beachfront hideout! It’s true that the house shares some unusual features: a tunnel that runs 100 or so yards between the two structures, and unusual roof which allows for lookouts. Definitely worth seeing and getting a glimpse of this incredible Gangsters lifestyle.

With so many cool looking airbnb’s, budget friendly hostels and hotels it’s hard choice to decide where to stay. For our last day we wanted to find another chill day club for lunch before we headed to our next destination for 2 days.
